At ZeroBoolean, we believe that your data is your property. This Privacy Policy explains how the CrawlShot Chrome Extension operates and outlines our commitment to your privacy.
1. Local Processing Guarantee
Short version: CrawlShot does not send any of your screenshots, browsing history, or personal data to our servers. Everything happens on your machine.
All image capturing, stitching, WebP conversion, and downloading occur entirely locally within your browser using Manifest V3 background service workers and OffscreenCanvas. We do not have servers that process your captures.
2. Extension Permissions
To function correctly, CrawlShot requests the following permissions in Chrome:
activeTab: Required to capture the visible area of the specific tab you are currently viewing.scripting: Required to inject the scrolling script necessary for full-page stitching and hiding overlay elements.downloads: Required to save the final PNG, JPEG, or WebP image directly to your local file system.storage: Used strictly viachrome.storage.localto remember your UI preferences (like export format and quality slider values).
3. Analytics and Tracking
CrawlShot does not include any third-party analytics trackers, crash reporters, or telemetry scripts. We do not track how many screenshots you take or what websites you visit.
4. Changes to this Policy
If we add cloud-integration features in the future (such as Google Drive or Dropbox exports), this policy will be updated to reflect how OAuth tokens are handled. However, local processing will always remain the default, privacy-first option.
